Welcoming our new Director of Addictions and Mental Health Services

We are excited to announce the appointment of Lauren Hardy as the new Director of Addictions and Mental Health Services at Jewish Family Services (JFS) and Jewish Addictions Community Services (JACS).

With over 11 years of experience in the mental health and substance use sectors, Lauren brings a wealth of knowledge from her roles as a clinical lead for a non-profit organization and as a concurrent disorders counsellor in various settings. Her diverse background equips her to understand and address the complexities of addiction and mental health within the Jewish community.

In her first three months, Lauren is dedicated to listening to the community to gain insight into its needs and using that understanding to guide her collaboration with community members and partners. She aims to understand how JACS can best respond to the ongoing needs related to mental health and addiction, particularly in light of current global events affecting the Jewish community.

Together, we hope to foster a culture of understanding and resilience, supporting one another through these challenging times as we work toward creating an effective program that honors Jewish values and traditions.

Join us in welcoming Lauren to JFS and JACS—we look forward to the meaningful strides we can achieve together.
