Golriz Boroomand’s family moved to Canada from Iran in 1972.
She grew up immersed in Persian Jewish culture with very few Persians around. Despite this fact, she learned from family both near and far about the rich traditions of both Persian culture and Jewish heritage.
As in all traditional cultures, food plays an integral role in all celebrations and life events. We hope you will come away with a taste for an ancient culture that is currently under attack, ever since the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.
