In this year's Passover campaign letter, we included a special message from Jenny, a client who benefited from a Seder Get-Together Grant in 2024 thanks to the generosity of donors like you.
We're excited to share Jenny’s heartfelt letter with you, as it beautifully captures the warmth, joy, and sense of connection that your gift helps create.

Hello JFS,
I am deeply touched and immensely grateful for your generous financial assistance to help celebrate Passover this year. Your kindness has truly made a difference and has allowed my family and me to observe this special holiday with joy and tradition.
Passover is a time for family, friends, and tradition. Matzoh ball soup, brisket with yam, baked potato with chicken, salmon with broccoli, and green beans were preparations for the evening's Seder meal. In the heart of the kitchen, my husband Paul meticulously arranged the Seder plate, ensuring each symbolic item was placed just so.
As our friends arrived, laughter and hugs filled the air. Children ran through the house and the backyard eager to search for the hidden Afikoman, a playful tradition that added an extra layer of excitement to the evening.
We read a Haggadah. The kids did some art and crafts while watching the movie. Each one took turns reading the story of the Jews' exodus from Egypt, with songs and prayers. Glasses of wine were raised in toast to loved ones near and far, and to the hope for a brighter future filled with peace and prosperity for all. We called our relatives in Israel to wish them all the best!
With hearts full and spirits lifted, the guests bid farewell, already looking forward to next year's Passover celebration, where we would once again come together to recount the timeless story of liberation and redemption.
Your support not only eased our financial burden but also strengthened our sense of community and connection during this meaningful time. We are reminded of the importance of coming together, supporting one another, and cherishing the traditions that bind us.
With sincere gratitude,
Jenny
