VJCG: Community Build Days!
Congregation Beth Israel, Jewish Family Services and Vancouver Talmud Torah are excited to begin building our new Jewish Community Garden and it would be great if YOU could join us!
The Garden will offer meaningful ways to connect with nature, better understand food security, and to work collaboratively as a community on garden projects. We look forward to celebrating and honouring nature, its bounties and Jewish teachings and values.
Everyone is welcome!
There will be something for everyone at any age and all abilities. We look forward to everyone in our community playing a role in helping establish this garden together.
During our time together, we’ll learn more about the story behind the Vancouver Jewish Community Garden (VJCG), then we’ll get to it, building the infrastructure, filling beds with soil, and transplanting seedlings into the ground.
Available Timeslots:
Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4
10am – 1pm and 2pm-5pm
We will be:
• Building garden beds
• Filling all the garden beds with soil
• Planting herbs, flowers, veggies, and fruit trees
• And more!
